We will start by picking you up from your hotel to go on a tour of the entire sacred valley, a trip of approximately 1 hour and a half until you reach the city of Ollantaytambo and then towards the beginning of the trek. The trail will take us on a walk of approximately 4 to 5 hours round trip, it depends on the pace of speed that we walk. In the course as we ascend we will have amazing landscapes and different panoramas of the whole small town of Ollantaytambo. We will see the paths where the stones were moved and some of them that remained in the course of their transport.
We will also observe the chullpas, constructions that were done in the past with the purpose of burying their dead, served as graves. In this way we will reach the pyramid of Paqariqtampu and the snowy mountain or Apu de La Verónica or Wakey Willka (“sacred mountain that cries”). Our guide will provide you with information and explanations of how these huge stones were transported to the city. We will remain in the place to rest and enjoy our box lunch. Then we will have obtained the best photographs of the wonderful nature and we can rest under the blue of the Andean sky, we will begin with the return descent. Our transport will be waiting to take us back to the imperial city of Cusco.
